The Virtual Festival of La Nouvelle was created in July 2016 when I was bedridden and forced to stay several days without moving. The first question I asked myself was:

Immediately the answer came: The Festival d'Avignon ... I was playing for three weeks, every day relentlessly. I told stories on stage in front of ever-increasing numbers of spectators year after year.

In the state I was in, it was impossible for me to envisage the Festival even as a spectator. By the way, if you have the opportunity to go to this Festival, don't miss it!

Telling stories is what I love to do above all else: singing them, playing them or writing them. So from my bed, the only way for me to tell my stories was to post them on my blog and to make it more festive because it was July, I decided to create a festival!

The idea of ​​the news, of the guest authors, came to me. I thought of this Virtual Festival as a real festival. I designed it with a poster. For the first edition, I only had one guest, Oluf Emi. I made an opening and closing speech. The second edition benefited from a magnificent sponsor: Anaël Verdier and eight guest authors. Murielle Magellan was the godmother of the third edition and this 2018 cuvée was wonderful. For the fourth edition, Jérôme Atal did us the honor of sponsoring the Festival. For the 5th edition, Virginie Lloyd took the reins and brought her share of novelties. The La Nouvelle Virtual Festival Prize has been created: readers vote for their favorite short story, active participation in the festival is rewarded with books to be won. The 6th edition is currently being planned and will take place in 2022.

This Festival aims to promote reading and to discover new authors who build their readership through a site, a blog, and pages on social networks. Thus a beautiful exchange of visibility is created. It promotes encounters, which we particularly appreciate, so much the act of writing is a solitary act. Throughout the program, I interact with the authors and when the Festival begins, a great dynamic is created. The success of the Festival is thanks to the readers and the authors gathered around an event entirely free and open to all!
